Whether they’re first time buyers, home movers or simply looking to remortgage, here’s what you need to know.

Our mortgages are available in Great Britain. You can find a list of the networks we work with on our distribution page.

The Bank of Ireland Standard Variable Rate is currently 4.74%. The Bank of England Base Rate is currently 0.75%. The Lending Fee is £195 (due on completion, but can be deferred until mortgage is fully repaid). All information is correct as at 02/10/2018.

 

Residential mortgages

We’ve got a range of fixed and variable rate residential products which are available for both purchases and remortgages:

  • Fixed rates up to 90% LTV for purchases and remortgages and 95% LTV for purchases only. Your customers can choose to secure a rate for 2, 3 or 5 years
  • Variable rates up to 90% LTV for purchases and remortgages and 95% LTV for purchases only.

For first time buyers we’re offering innovative new mortgages that make their day:

  • First Start up to 95% LTV for purchases only. Designed to boost the borrowing power of first time buyers or customers struggling to get on the property ladder after a change in personal circumstance
  • Post Office Family Link™ – is designed for first time buyers who haven't saved a deposit but have good affordability. It's made up of two loans. The first time buyer takes a 90% LTV mortgage against the property they're buying. Then, with the parent or close relative (their assistor) they take out a mortgage for the remaining 10%, secured against the assistors' mortgage free home.

And let’s not forget about your retiring customers. For them there’s Post Office Retirement Link™, our alternative to equity release up to 50% LTV for repayment products and 30% LTV for interest only.

Our 95% LTV products are not available for top up loans when porting your customer's mortgages.

Buy to Let mortgages

Whether your customers are first time landlords or already know the process, we offer a wide range of fixed rate Buy to Let products up to 75% LTV, available for both purchases and remortgages. We just ask that they don’t own more than three Buy to Let mortgaged properties.

Key criteria:

Your customer’s ability to pay is assessed on rental income (which must be received in GBP). The rental income must be at least 145% of the monthly interest due inclusive of any product fees added to the loan. This is calculated using either the initial product rate or interest cover rate, whichever is higher.

  • The total portfolio size is three BTL mortgaged properties per applicant (either solely or jointly) across all lenders, including Bank of Ireland Group
  • The maximum value of Bank of Ireland portfolio of loans is £1,500,000. Maximum individual loan amount is £500,000
  • No minimum income required.

Existing customer mortgages

You can submit standard residential and Buy to Let applications for your customers who are looking to take out a further advance, transfer their product or port their rate.

Porting and moving - all our mortgage rates are portable, subject to the terms and conditions of the original Mortgage Offer and our current lending criteria. Our 95% LTV products are not available for top up loans when porting your customer's mortgages.
